Blue Streak: Movie Review

NOTHING. That's what comes to mind when you hear the title, Blue Streak. After watching this movie, you will never forget it and when you hear Blue Streak again you will think of Martin Lawrence's character in it and automatically remember what it's about. To me, this movie was hilarious and the main reason for this is actor Martin Lawrence. The character he plays and the way he acts, I think, makes the movie. If you have seen any other movie or show that includes Martin Lawrence, you would know what I was talking about. It might be the way he says something or maybe the way he reacts to different things. Overall the movie brought action and comedy, although the comedy took over.

The movie was about a group of thieves who went for a diamond heist. Once the diamond was stolen and in their hands the cops arrived. One of the members, Martin Lawrence's character, hid the diamond in a building under construction. A few years later after his jail time was over, he went back to the building to get the diamond. Instead, he found a police station. He decides that the only way he can get the diamond now is to play a cop. Throughout the movie he uses some different disguises. The one that made me laugh was when he became the pizza man. First of all, he looks nothing like your average pizza man. He puts on these fake teeth that would make you stop eating any sort of sweets and just messes up his hair. Below is a picture.

I do wish the movie was a little bit longer because the movie went by too fast. I think that might have been because I was really into the movie and did not notice the time go by. Which brings me to saying that I would recommend this movie if you like comedies, but I would not recommend this movie if you are looking for an action packed film.

User Rating:
I rated this movie based on its genre, which is action/comedy.
